Sr. Product Designer
Everything we do at Sunrun is driven by a determination to transform the way we power our lives. We know that starts at the individual employee level. We strive to foster an environment you can thrive in through our commitment to diversity, inclusion and belonging.
At Sunrun our mission is to create a planet run by the sun. The Product Design team plays a critical role in our company’s success in crafting delightful and engaging experiences and products for our industry leading software products, including our e-commerce platform, point of sale platform, design tools, communication tools, and customer facing app.
As a Senior Product Designer you will craft intuitive and cohesive experiences for our customer app, sales app or website. You will tackle complex problems while working with cross-functional teams and roles, helping our customers do an array of things from learning more about Sunrun’s products, services, and solar, finding and buying the right plan and service to paying their bill, making an appointment, or monitoring their solar system. We also have internal customers we serve, our sales representatives. The tools we build for them help them educate potential customers on our products and services, and build the right system for their needs in an efficient and intuitive way.
The complexities of crafting and delivering these solutions to unique homes and properties are extremely complicated – we have all the problems of an energy company and a custom construction firm. Here are just a few of the problems you’ll help us solve:
How do we build a web and sales experience that educates potential customers about our products and services and convert them to customers?
How do we help potential customers build and buy the right solar system for their needs without having to talk to a sales representative?
How do we build a cohesive experience for existing customers who use mySunrun app and mysunrun.com to monitor their systems, pay their bills, and better understand their energy usage and storage?
How do we build a scalable and cohesive experience across all of our communications touch points with our customers?
How do we evolve our design system so that we create and build experiences that are consistent and familiar across all our products?
You will bring creative and craft leadership and deliver elegant experiences and delightful products to our customers. You will build and drive compelling customer experience vision, strategy and designs. You aspire to be an art director or creative director. You have boundless curiosity, you are passionate about your work and you want to be a part of a team that will forever alter the world.
