The Lead Network Engineer reports to Sunrun’s San Francisco, CA office. Telecommuting is required.

Requires 15% travel to various Sunrun locations throughout the U.S.

Salary offered: $195,250/ year.

Responsibilities:

• Writing Python & Powershell scripts to automate processes (15 % of the time).

• Writing Terraform scripts to deploy Infrastructure in AWS (5 % of the time).

• Architecting and testing new solution for Sunrun (10 % of the time).

• Researching network technologies and staying up to date on advancements in the field (15 % of the time).

• Overseeing the network implementation process, including setting schedules and budgets (15 % of the time).

• Planning and designing data communication networks (10 % of the time).

• Managing information and network security (10 % of the time).

• Troubleshoot, organize, modify, install, and support Sunrun's network systems (10% of the time).

• Mentoring and coaching Network admins and Engineer (10% of the time).

• Process and Report Automation --10% of the time

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s or higher degree in Telecommunications Engineering Technology or Network Engineering.

• 5 y. exp. as a Network Engineer including 5 y. exp. with AWS, managing Palo Alto NGFW, managing Meraki SD-WAN solution, using Cisco products, deploying VPN solutions, securing network infrastructure, monitoring networks, deploying Infoblox DDI solutions and designing and implementing datacenter solutions. Must also include 5 y. exp. with Pulse Secure, VMware Vcenter, WireShark Packet sniffer, Nmap, PRTG Monitoring, Netcat, Python programming, and Zero trust network access.
