Overview

The New Homes Builder Operations Manager (BOM) is a strategic operational leader responsible for the end-to-end health and velocity of the New Homes project pipeline. Serving as the primary technical and operational bridge between Sunrun, our builder partners, and installation teams, the BOM must be a high-level critical thinker who excels at navigating the complexities of solar production. This role owns the flow of projects from release to final inspection, proactively identifying systemic bottlenecks and deploying creative solutions before they impact construction schedules. As the authoritative point of contact, the BOM acts as a liaison for our builders and partners, translating solar milestones into actionable updates to ensure seamless site integration and high levels of trust.

Beyond daily execution, the BOM is a proactive problem-solver who utilizes data-driven insights to resolve "on-the-ground" operational hurdles, ensuring that quality and speed are never mutually exclusive. Success in this role requires a strong aptitude for change management and cross-functional collaboration, as the BOM regularly partners with Sales, Engineering, and Field Operations to drive process improvements and adapt to evolving business needs. The ideal candidate views operational challenges as an opportunity to build a more scalable process, ensuring Sunrun remains a premier partner in the new construction industry.
