Come join a career you can grow in and a culture you can run with.
POSITION SUMMARY
At Sunrun, we are a customer-obsessed organization dedicated to making clean energy accessible to everyone, because we believe in a future powered by clean, reliable home energy. As a Lifecycle/CRM Manager, you will be the architect of the customer journey, turning homeowners into lifelong clean energy advocates.
You will lead the strategy and execution of multi-channel lifecycle programs (Email, SMS, Push, and Direct Mail) designed to drive engagement, retention, and lifetime value. This role is perfect for a data-driven marketer who views complex problems as opportunities to say "Yes, and." You will work closely with Sales, Product, and Customer Operations to ensure our messaging is not just automated, but human-centered and helpful.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Revenue-Focused Lead Nurturing: Design and manage automated lead-nurturing sequences that move prospects through the funnel, reducing friction for the Inside Sales team and increasing lead-to-opportunity conversion rates.
Sales & Marketing Alignment: Partner closely with the VP, Inside Sales to identify stale lead buckets and deploy re-engagement campaigns that resurrect interest and generate "hot" inbound inquiries.
Full-Funnel Optimization: Own the digital touchpoints from the first "Yes" to the final contract, ensuring every communication is optimized to drive incremental revenue and shorten the sales cycle.
Leverage AI-driven personalization and predictive modeling to determine the 'Next Best Action' for prospects in the sales funnel.
Lead the charge to develop, then maintain a robust customer preference center to reduce opt-outs while maintaining multi-channel compliance.
Customer Journey Mapping: Define and optimize the end-to-end customer lifecycle—from initial lead and installation to long-term "Solar-as-a-Service" maintenance and battery storage upgrades.
Campaign Execution: Build, test, and deploy complex automated workflows in Salesforce Marketing Cloud/Marketo (or similar) to improve NPS and drive cross-sell revenue.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Sales Managers and Field Ops to bridge the gap between digital communications and the physical installation experience.
Data-Driven Optimization: Conduct rigorous A/B testing on subject lines, content, and send times to maximize engagement and minimize churn.
Compliance & Governance: Ensure all communications meet CAN-SPAM, TCPA, and GDPR requirements while maintaining a premium brand voice.
REQUIREMENTS (EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, CERTIFICATIONS, AND OTHER SKILLS)
Experience: 6+ years in CRM, Lifecycle Marketing, or Retention Marketing (Renewable energy or subscription-based tech experience is a plus).
The "Yes, And" Strategist: You excel at taking complex technical requirements from managers and building upon them to create a better experience for the customer.
Sales Catalyst: You have an intuitive sense of what a sales rep needs to close a deal and you build the nurturing tracks that make their jobs easier.
Data Enthusiast: You don’t just report numbers; you tell stories with data to drive business decisions.
Empathetic Communicator: You understand that solar is a major life decision. You write and build journeys that provide peace of mind, not just "marketing noise."
Adaptable: You thrive in a fast-paced environment where the clean energy landscape is constantly evolving.
Tech Stack: Deep proficiency in Salesforce or similar CRM tools. Familiarity with HTML/CSS for email and SQL for segmentation is preferred.
Project Management: Proven ability to manage large-scale projects from concept through post-mortem analysis.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS & TRAVEL REQUIREMENT
Operational Tech Proficiency: Ability to perform standard office duties, including prolonged periods of sitting or standing at a desk and working on a computer.
Visual & Mental Focus: Must be able to maintain high levels of concentration while reviewing complex data sets, spreadsheets, and digital dashboards for extended periods.
Communication: Ability to interact, present, and facilitate in person and virtual meetings via Google Meet with internal teams and external vendors.
Travel: Occasional travel (up to 15%) may be required for vendor site visits, industry conferences, or national strategy sessions.
