Logistics Analyst

OVERVIEW
Reporting to the Logistics Supervisor, the Logistics Coordinator is a key contributor to Sunrun’s transportation department. The freight coordinator helps maintain a higher level of service for both internal and external customers. The freight coordinator works as a team with Planners and Distribution Centers ensuring shipment delivery, both inbound and outbound and are in line with the requirements of the business. The freight coordinator is a champion for customer satisfaction, always providing the best possible “customer experience” to our internal clients.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Creates Bills of Lading for domestic and international shipments.
Manually generates Bill of Ladings and commercial invoices as needed.
Liaising with internal and external customers to ensure timely delivery of goods and orders.
Tracks delivery progress of customer freight.
Facilitating flow of materials between various departments and branches.
Receives, orders and assigns shipments to proper carriers.
Assist quickly to resolve delivery issues or concerns.
Contacts truck carriers to coordinate shipment schedules.
Works cooperatively and productively with Department Heads and other Associates in order to complete tasks.
Coordinates as necessary with other departments/functions, especially Customer Service, Planners, Distribution Centers and internal branches.
Works in a group and independently.
Provides and inspires outstanding service to customers by maintaining attention to detail and completing assigned work in a timely manner.
Completes additional duties as assigned by the Logistics Supervisor, and/or Logistics Manager.
REQUIREMENTS
A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
Must be eighteen years of age or older.
Preferable 2 years experience in transportation, data entry or a distribution environment.
Strong knowledge of Microsoft Suites and required computer skills.
Attention to detail and the ability to work under pressure is a must.
Proven record of exceptional attendance and reliability is required.
Ability to think and take constructive action at work without being urged; skill and be able to take the lead in forwarding new ideas or work methods.
Ability to change or adapt work practices, priorities, or procedures.
Ability to work well with others in a group, cooperate with others, offer to help when needed, maintain a positive and collaborative attitude, even in challenging situations, and foster a team climate within the group where members are committed to a common goal.
Uses a systematic and effective approach in analyzing information in order to come up with good business solutions to problems as they arise.
Understands company’s values and culture. Understands the impact of costs and profits.
Must have responsible work habits and pass any pre-employment test, drug test, and background check.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Be able to remain in a seated position for the majority of the day.
Sufficient hand, arm, and finger dexterity to operate a computer keyboard and other office equipment.
Must be able to move around the warehouse as needed in a safe manner.
Have adequate visual and hearing acuity to follow instructions, operate office equipment and determine accuracy of the work assigned.
Ability to interact with co-workers and participate in meetings.

Starting salary/wage for this opportunity:
$59,257.11 to $79,009.48Compensation decisions will not be based on a candidate's salary history. You can learn more here.
