The Senior Director of Go-to-Market Strategy will play a critical leadership role in identifying, shaping, and scaling the most impactful product-market opportunities across our energy platform. This leader will analyze market dynamics and translate insights into clear strategies that maximize value for customers, the grid, and the business.
This role sits at the intersection of product, market strategy, operations, and energy systems. You will connect the dots across the organization spanning financing, sales, operations, hardware, grid services, and customer experience to ensure our offerings are designed and deployed in ways that deliver exceptional product-market fit.
Key Responsibilities
Identify and define high-value market opportunities across residential solar, storage, and grid services.
Analyze regulatory, grid, and customer dynamics to determine where our products deliver the greatest value.
Develop strategies that optimize the intersection of customer economics, grid value, and company performance.
Connect insights across the business including: Sales and channel strategy, financing and pricing models, hardware configurations (solar + storage + energy services), Operations and installation efficiency, grid services and utility partnerships and customer experience and lifecycle value
Align cross-functional teams around the most effective product configurations and market approaches.
Serve as a strategic feedback loop between the market and internal product teams.
Inform product development, roadmap prioritization, and resource allocation based on market insights.
Identify opportunities for new offerings, bundles, or business models.
Design and test new go-to-market approaches for emerging products and services.
Pilot new market strategies and scale successful models across regions.
Ensure offerings are deployed effectively through the organization.
Lead and develop a team of highly skilled individuals
Foster strong cross-functional partnerships across Product, Grid Services, Sales, Finance, and Operations.
Drive alignment and decision-making across complex organizational environments.
Qualifications
10+ years of experience in strategy, product, energy markets, or go-to-market leadership
Experience in solar, energy storage, utilities, grid services, or energy technology
Proven ability to lead complex cross-functional initiatives
Experience leading a team
Strategic market analysis
Systems thinking across complex businesses
Product-market fit development
Executive communication and influence
Operating effectively in ambiguity
Data-driven decision making

Starting salary/wage for this opportunity:
