Sr. Accountant

Overview
We are looking for a results oriented team member to join the Sunrun accounting team. This role will perform accounting in areas such as corporate fixed assets, operating and finance leases, cash management, inventory management, project accounting, prepaids, AP/AR, payroll, as well as other operational expense support. The Sr. Accountant will be critical in supporting the accounting team to get various month end duties completed on time. This role will require a highly analytical individual who can perform accounting duties within a fast paced department while adhering to established standards.
*We are looking for someone that resides in PST zone*
Responsibilities
Perform monthly accounting duties including month end close tasks, preparing and reviewing journal entries, and completing account reconciliations.
Develop sound business and organizational knowledge over time.
Communicate with other teams such as facilities, fleet, AP, and third parties to ensure the accuracy of reporting and proper accounting treatment of invoices.
Identify discrepancies, independently perform research and analysis of causes, and recommend corrective actions.
Provide financial information to management by researching and analyzing accounting data, preparing reports, collecting information, making recommendations, and summarizing account information and trends.
Work both independently and collaboratively with team members where accuracy and timeliness of deliverables are critical.
Manipulate and reconcile large volumes of data in Excel from sources such as Oracle and Salesforce and perform monthly reconciliations and prepare entries to correct discrepancies.
Perform quarter end and year end tasks including completing PBCs for internal and external audit.
Assist with projects and other ad hoc accounting duties as required.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience
Excellent professional written and verbal communication skills
Must be able to work in a fast paced environment
Excellent organizational and self-management skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel
Knowledge of Oracle Applications-R12/Cloud and Salesforce is a plus
Solar experience is a plus

Starting salary/wage for this opportunity:
$65,640.49 to $87,520.65Other rewards may include annual bonus eligibility, which is based on company and individual performance, short and long term incentives, and program-specific awards. Sunrun provides a variety of benefits to employees, including health insurance coverage, an employee wellness program, life and disability insurance, a retirement savings plan, paid holidays and paid time off (PTO).
