Staff Benefits Analyst

We’re looking for a high-energy, results-focused Staff Benefits Analyst to implement and run benefits programs at Sunrun. As a Staff Benefits Analyst you will collaborate with cross-functional teams, to deliver on key projects, deliverables and programs. This is the perfect role for a person who has deep expertise and passion to deliver best-in-class benefits programs and processes.
Responsibilities
Project manage and lead key initiatives to support the benefits function
Recommend and enhance current programs, policies, and processes for both short-term and longer-term business needs and goals
Provide ongoing support for vendor management by participating in regular status calls and strategic reviews, proactively driving root causes, proactively identifying areas for process improvement and implementation of new initiatives
Manage and enhance our Wellbeing program
Lead the Benefits Open Enrollment process, including partnering with vendors/brokers/consultants to manage employee communications, prepare benefit plan materials, coordinate timelines and address employee questions
Coordinate and facilitate compliance related matters, in partnership with external vendors, including (but not limited to) completion of Form 5500s, ACA filings, Summary Annual Reports, etc.
Assist in development and delivery of benefits education for the People (HR) organization, business partners, and employees.
Manage our external benefits call center and provide guidance and determination on appeals.
Qualifications
Business degree or related work experience
A background of at least 8+ years of benefits experience with a mix of experience in fast-growing and more established organizations
Strong analytical and project management skills, proven ability to design clear processes, and very detail-oriented
Expert level administration of employee health and welfare benefits including self-insured plans
Current, in-depth knowledge of federal and state requirements related, but not limited to ERISA, HIPAA, COBRA, FMLA, PPACA, GINA, ADA, CARES, Section 125 of the IRS and other legislation and regulations that affect the design and administration of the benefit plans
Experience in Google Workspace and Workday preferred
Must possess business acumen, strong analytical, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Ability to partner, collaborate, and influence across a wide spectrum of functions
Excellent communication skills with the ability to distill complex issues into structured frameworks and concrete action plans
Comfortable working in a fast pace environment with minimal guidance

Starting salary/wage for this opportunity:
$91,076.90 to $121,435.86Compensation decisions will not be based on a candidate's salary history. You can learn more here.
